Itinerary

At 8 :00 AM, we will embark on our adventure with a scenic boat ride to Nosy Komba, also known as the “Island of Lemurs.” Situated between Nosy Be and the mainland of Madagascar, Nosy Komba is the second largest volcanic island in Madagascar and boasts a rich diversity of wildlife. Upon arrival, we will take a short walk to the Black Lemur Sanctuary, where an experienced guide will share fascinating insights into these remarkable creatures. You will learn to distinguish between males and females while watching the lemurs as they gracefully climb and relax in the trees. For those wishing to engage more closely, fruit treats will be provided for feeding the lemurs, which are friendly and accustomed to human presence. In addition to lemurs, the sanctuary is home to various species such as snakes, tortoises, panther chameleons, lizards, spiders, and millipedes. After visiting the sanctuary, we will explore the village marketplace, where you can shop for authentic island crafts, including hand-embroidered tablecloths. From there, we will continue our journey to Nosy Tanikely.

Nosy Tanikely, located 10 kilometers west of Nosy Komba, is a protected marine reserve renowned for its pristine coral reefs and vibrant marine life. This uninhabited island is one of the region’s premier snorkeling destinations, offering an abundance of underwater wonders including stingrays, turtles, and a variety of colorful fish. You may also spot dolphins, manta rays, and even whale sharks in these crystal-clear waters. During our visit, you will have the chance to explore the island through snorkeling or a visit to the local museum, where you might encounter brown lemurs along the way. For breathtaking views of the surrounding islands, we will hike to the lighthouse. A delicious BBQ lunch will be served on the beach, providing the perfect opportunity to relax and unwind. After lunch, you will have more time to explore the island and enjoy the serene beach atmosphere before we return at 3:00 PM.
