This natural reserve is located in the southeastern part of Nosy Be island. The humid, mid-altitude evergreen forest serves as the natural habitat for the endangered black lemur, which is the reserve’s most iconic species. It is also renowned for the vibrant Nosy Be Panther Chameleon, adding to the area’s rich biodiversity.

Itinerary
Join us for an immersive jungle experience as we depart from Hell Ville at 8 :00 AM, heading towards the picturesque fishing village of Ambatozavavy. From there, we will board a traditional pirogue to reach the entrance of the Lokobe Reserve. This protected area is home to a rich array of Madagascar’s unique fauna and flora, representing a significant portion of the island’s biodiversity.
We will embark on a scenic 3-hour walk through the jungle, keeping an eye out for the incredible wildlife that calls this forest home. Be sure to have your camera ready to capture some unforgettable moments !
After our exploration, we will enjoy a delicious lunch in the village of Ampasipohy before returning to Hell Ville to conclude the excursion.
